| The Zulfiqar is an Iranian designed and built main battle tank based on Western technology. It bears a close resemblance to the American M1 Abrams, making it somewhat difficult to identify in combat. A side-by-side comparison shows the resemblance. The Zulfiqar has only recently been brought into production, so it is not as numerous with Iranian forces as the various models of the T-72. |
