The ZSU-23-4 mounts four water cooled 23mm cannons that have the capability to be guided both by the vehicle's onboard radar or optically by the crew. The system's relatively short range (2.5km) means that this system is quite easily dispatched if it is detected early. However, if you are careless enough to fly over a hilltop or around a ridge without checking first to see that it is all clear, you may well find yourself well within range of the ZSU, which can be quite deadly at close range. The key to beating this system (as with all air defense threats, but especially this one) is early detection and destruction or avoidance.
