The SA-9 marries a BRDM chassis to a four-shot IR missile launcher.This system has been almost completely replaced in CIS units by the SA-13 system, but the SA-9 is still numerous in other countries. Not including the various man-portable SAM's in the game, the SA-9 has the smallest warhead and is the most susceptible to jamming. Also, even a single direct hit can usually leave your aircraft in good enough shape to continue the mission.
