The SA-13 SAM system is primarily a low altitude missile system. The SA-13 replaces the SA-9 in threat units as the forward area air defense missile system. Although it is one of the larger IR guided missiles deployed, a single hit from this weapon may not destroy your helicopter. A minimum range of .8km also makes this system difficult to sneak up on.
