The RBS-70/M113 SAm system is basically the man-portable Bofors RBS-70 SAM mounted on a pedestal atop a standard M113 armored personell carrier. The missile itself is highly maneuverable with a very short minimum range. A hit from this missile has a better than average chance to bring down a helicopter, and it is impervious to jamming, due to the fact that it is laser-guided. The weakness in this, however, is that the gunner must be able to maintain a line of sight to the target for the duration of the engagement, making an engagement at night and in poor weather very difficult.
