The MiG-29 Fulcrum is used in Longbow 2 strictly for air defense/superiority. It has no ground attack capabilities in the game, but carries 6 IR-guided AA-11 air-to-air missiles. These missiles offer little or no warning of their arrival, and chances are even that a single missile will render your aircraft unflyable. If you survive a hit by one of these missiles, you definitely will not survive a second hit, and the MiG have a pesky habit of turning around to complete the job.
