The M163 PIVADS (Product Improved Vulcan Air Defense System) mounts a 20mm Vulcan cannon to an M113 chassis. This vehicle was mainly used during the 70's and 80's, but has now been all but replaced in fron line U.S. combat units with the Avenger platform. It is doubtful these would be seen on a modern battlefield, but it seems they were included in the game to give U.S. forces a AAA capability without using missiles.
